MVP Internship (10-Week)
MVP Internship is a summer 10-week full-time internship program. The internship program offers volunteers the opportunity to assist various GA departments with ministry projects serving evangelical and/or pastoral purposes over a 10-week period, while at the same time developing their talents and skills for the ministry work. The start and end date of the internship can vary for each intern to accommodate varying school and work schedules.
One of the weeks of the MVP Internship overlaps with the 1-week MVP Workshop, and all interns are to attend and assist with the workshop. Interns are also expected to attend the NYTS/PMVP during their internship. Depending on project needs, they may work at the USGA office, remotely, or in a hybrid arrangement. Those who work at the USGA office are eligible to apply for a living subsidy of up to $100 per week to help cover for meals, gas, lodging, and other living necessities. In addition, interns are encouraged to stay at the USGA dormitory if they are from out of town.
The internship program is open to all members who are 18 or older. Working professionals, students, and anyone with a heart to serve are encouraged to apply. Applicants for the MVP Internship are required to have attended the 1-week MVP Workshop and the NYTS (or similar) at least once previously (exceptions may be granted). Full-time commitment is expected.
The internship and project details are usually announced in February of every year.
