DESCRIPTION

• IA will be publishing a revised edition of the TJC hymnal in 2026.

• Volunteers may choose to help with any or more than one of the following:

  • Hymn Research: researching on hymn copyright status, lyricists/composers, and variations on lyrics/music

  • Score Notation: notating hymn scores using score notation software

  • Proofreading: proofreading revised hymn scores with music and lyric changes

• These project deliverables would be used to produce the English version of the 2026 hymnal.

REQUIREMENTS

• Detailed-oriented.

• Ability to do extensive online research (if desiring to help with hymn research).

• Strong aptitude for learning score notation software, such as Dorico (if desiring to help with score notation).

• Good proofreading skills (if desiring to help with proofreading).

COMMITMENTS

• Flexible hours (recommended commitment of 5-10 hours per week)
