DESCRIPTION

Volunteers are needed to support missionary work in pioneering areas during spiritual convocations and routine visitations.
Prospective 2026 international missionary trips are as follows:
- Central America:
  - 7/10/2026-7/20/2026: Dominican Republic pastoral visitation and SSC (Spanish interpretation, RE teaching, SSC counseling) [VOLUNTEER ASSIGNED]
- South America
  - 7/18/2026-7/31/2026: Argentina pastoral visitation and SSC (Spanish interpretation, RE teaching, SSC counseling) [VOLUNTEER ASSIGNED]
- Africa:
  - 7/5/2026-7/10/2026: South Africa SSC (counseling)
  - 12/13/2026-12/18/2026: South Africa SSC (counseling)

REQUIREMENTS

Baptized in TJC for at least 3 years. Has received the Holy Spirit. Has finished at least 2 years of NYTS curriculum. Endorsed by local church council.
Function-specific:
- Interpretation: good Chinese-to-Spanish and/or English-to-Spanish interpretation skills
- RE teaching: certified RE teacher
- STTC/SSC counseling: experienced NYTS/SSC counselor
  - Additionally for Argentina STTC/SSC counseling: conversational Chinese, conversational Spanish a plus
  - Additionally for Africa SSC counseling: conversational Chinese, good interpersonal skills, music skills (piano accompaniment, hymn leading, basic music theory teaching) preferred
For more extensive support, completion of NYTS and PMVP may be required or highly encouraged.

COMMITMENTS

REIMBURSEMENTS

USGA will reimburse transportation costs to and from the assignment for USGA-assigned volunteers.
