DESCRIPTION

• Volunteers may choose to help with any or more than one of the following:

  • Hymn Arrangement: composing choral and/or instrumental arrangement of hymns

  • Hymn Orchestration: composing arrangement of hymns for choir and orchestra/ensemble

  • Memory Verse Song Writing: composing songs for RE memory verses

• These project deliverables would be used to contribute to the IA Hymnal Library Project or the USGA Memory Verse Songs Project.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good music composition skills (refer to compositions guidelines).

• Familiarity with TJC hymns.

• Strong aptitude for learning score notation software, such as MuseScore.

COMMITMENTS

• Flexible hours (recommended commitment of 50-100 hours per hymn arrangement/orchestration or 5-10 hours per memory verse song writing)
